Dean Zang specializes in the acquisition and disposition of retail shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic region and net-leased investments throughout the country. He joined the firm in 2003 and co-leads the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore-based group with David Crotts out of the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office. Dean started his career in the Philadelphia, PA office before moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 2008.

 

Dean and his team have successfully brokered the sale of over $5.4 billion in retail properties in 38 states across the country. He has established himself as one of the top retail agents in the firm, consistently ranking in the Top 30 of the 1,800+ agent pool.

Unique and challenging assignments include the disposition of a 17-property leasehold portfolio for Coventry Real Estate Advisors and DDR in the great recession, the sale of the infamous Watergate shops and parking in Washington, D.C. for Greenfield and Penzance, and multiple sale leaseback assignments for CVS and Wawa Corporation.

 

Dean obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Washington College. Dean was active in his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order, and the Student Government Association as President. While at Washington College, Dean was practiced residential brokerage at the Hogan’s Agency and assisted a local land developer at Richardson Property Corporation.

 

He is a native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, an avid fan of boating, and aspiring high handicap golfer. Some of his notable current and previous clients include ARC Properties, Cedar Shopping Centers, Coventry Real Estate Advisors, Cole Capital/VeReit, CW Capital, Clark Realty Capital, Greenberg Gibbons, Klein Enterprises, Lormax Stern, One Liberty Properties, Schostak Companies and Widewaters Group.
